Bintulu / Malaysia

The Bintulu liquefaction plant and terminal are situated in the Malaysian state of Sarawak, on the north coast of Borneo, a two hour flight from Kuala Lumpur. The gas plant and terminal are operated by Malaysia LNG, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian state oil company Petronas.

Tangguh / Indonesia

The Tangguh liquefaction plant and terminal are situated adjacent to Bintuni Bay, West Papua, about a 7 hour flight from Jakarta. The gas plant and terminal are operated by BP under a production sharing contract with the Government of Indonesia. Other shareholders include CNOOC and Mitsubishi.

North West Shelf / Australia

The North West Shelf project’s liquefaction plant and LNG loading terminal are situated near the town of Karratha, on the Burrup Penninsula in the Pilbara region of Western Australia – a two hour flight from the state capital of Perth. The gas plant and terminal are operated by Woddside Energy on behalf of the North West Shelf participants: BHP Billiton, BP, Chevron, Japan Australia LNG (MIMI), Shell and Woodside.
