The selection of Sembawang Shipyard as CLSICO’s exclusive ship repair partner in Singapore is in line with CLSICO’s objective of ensuring that our fleet is maintained to the highest standard to meet the requirements of our Chinese stakeholders. Sembawang Shipyard is recognised as one of the most technically competent and efficient repair yards in the world and a world leader for the repairs and upgrading of LNG carriers, and this convinced us to enter into a long-term partnership arrangement with the Shipyard. The contract, which was signed on 11th October 2012 in Hong Kong, commits to Sembawang Shipyard the Singapore repairs of 5 LNG carriers managed by CLSICO on behalf of Guangdong LNG and Fujian LNG. The Favoured Customer Contract also commits both sides to joint planning, and the sharing of information and experience.
