CLSICO WALKS FOR CHARITY

On 5th December 2015, 2 teams of 4 from the CLSICO Head Office took part in the Sailor’s Society’s inaugural Hong Kong Trek. The route took in some of Hong Kong’s most scenic and challenging routes and covered some 32 kilometres in total. The route took the 25 teams from Wanchai Gap Road to the coastal village of Big Wave Bay.

Team 1 (Paul Oliver, John Wood, Arthur Beaumont and Kenneth Sham) completed the walk in just under 8 hours whilst Team 2 (Nikos Kefalas, Chee Yenkit, Alan Ng and Woo Konglim) stormed the trek in just 7.5 hours. Special praise goes out to Arthur who took the unofficial title of having covered the most distance than any participant by venturing off the trail.

It was an unseasonably cold and wet day (i.e. British weather) and the trek involved some serious ascends and descends yet both teams remained in high spirits and all participants completed the trail without a scratch – save for some wobbly legs. The teams raised 10,000 HKD for the event and raised awareness for the society and its cause.

CLSICO remains committed in both promoting a healthy lifestyle for its staff and will surely take part in any upcoming events – and in the name of a good cause!
