The Shen Hai will go to the Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) shipyard at Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia, for her first intermediate dry-docking in September 2014. The LNGC repair facilities at Pasir Gudang are a joint venture (“MSLNG”) between MMHE and Samsung Heavy Industries of Korea. Following a successful audit of the MMHE shipyard in January 2014, CLSICO and MSLNG completed contract negotiations in early June. The contract was signed in the CLSICO HK office on 12th June.
Chae Yeon Taek, Senior General Manager of MSLNG and Paul Oliver, General Manager of CLSICO, signed the contract. Also present were Ahmad Zaki Abd Malik, Senior General Manager of MMHE’s Marine Repair Business Unit, Khairul Ariffin Abdullah, Business Development Manager MSLNG, and the CLSICO leadership team.
