On 16th/17th October 2018, a Safety Forum which hosted by CLSICO was successfully held in Hong Kong. CLSICO’s Fleet Manager Andy Johnston made the opening remarks and expressed thankfulness to the forum for choosing Hong Kong as the venue as well as the attendees for traveling such long distances to support the event.
The forum was attended by more than 60 representatives of tanker owners and managers around the world. It mainly focuses on topics such as international tanker safety operation and management. The forum had some very engaging speakers presenting topics on safety for tanker operators, such as Cyber Security Management by Lloyd’s Register, Security Awareness by Dialpous, Risk Prevention and Security Hardening by ARX, Digital Navigation by Marine Press, New Mooring Equipment Guidelines (MEG4 )development and application by Samson Wilhelmsen and many other interesting presentation.
The Safety forum provided a platform for global international tanker shipping companies to share experience around safety. Safety is a top priority and a key value for all of us working in the oil & gas shipping industry, and this forum has always been a key contributor into our shared goal to promote and improve safety.
