Last 21 July both General Manager Paul Oliver and myself were pleased to be invited by the Hong Kong Shipowners Association Ltd and the United States Consulate to the annual AMVER Awards lunch here in HK.
We were joined at the lunch by Guest of Honour Mr Thomas Hodges, Deputy Consul General, US Consulate Hong Kong and Macau, members of the US Coastguard as well as representatives from other HK shipping companies.
Paul had the pleasure of collecting Certificates of Recognition from the US Coastguard for each one of our six ships recognising their participation in the AMVER scheme during 2015.
9,061 other ships joined our 6 ships in achieving at least 128 day “on plot” in 2015 contributing to 432 lives being saved.
