- To comply with all applicable legal requirements and regulations relating to protection of the environment. Where practicable, to improve upon such requirements and regulations.
- To develop and implement cost-effective solutions to increase the efficiency of its managed vessels with regard to energy consumption and emissions
- To implement comprehensive measures to reduce the probability of environmental incidents and to maintain contingency plans to ensure an effective response to such incidents.
- To maintain environmental monitoring programmes to promote and demonstrate compliance with the Company’s Policy and with legislative requirements.
- To make available the necessary resources in order to meet the requirements of this Policy.
- To set environmental objectives and targets and to ensure that these are continually reviewed and improved upon where appropriate.
- To ensure that this Policy is communicated to all CLSICO employees, including via environmental awareness programmes.
