CLSICO attaches significance to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters that are critical to the Company’s sustainable development, maintains a high level of corporate governance, and complies with international and local corporate governance standards to safeguard the interests of clients, employees, and the general public.
CLSICO is committed to improving the management level and sustainable development ability, the management system and organizational structure meet the relevant requirements. Some relevant indicators are set into the company’s performance contract review (KPI).
CLSICO also strives to promote the development of green shipping technology. To comply with the IMO’s carbon intensity indicator (CII) and the Energy Efficiency Ship Index (EEXI) regime, CLSICO reduces carbon emissions through technological modification or operational plan adjustment.
For all ship and shore staff in CLSICO, the review of occupational health and safety, environmental, and energy management is conducted at least once a year or more frequently if necessary.
