A first for China LNG Shipping (International) Co., Ltd. – “Turn key Cool-down” Solution for Charterer

On the 5th November 2019 China LNG Shipping (International) Co., Ltd managed vessel “DAPENG SUN” commenced a first cool-down operation at LNG Regasification Terminal in Pengerang, Johor (RGTP) operated by Petronas Gas Berhad Malaysia.

Aiming to supply additional services to Charterers, CLSICO wholly arranged and delivered a “Turn Key Cool-down” solution to the vessels Charterer.

The ‘Turn-key Cool-down” included locating a suitable Cool-down terminal, obtaining terminal “Certificate of Acceptance” for the vessel requiring a full compatibility study, financial governance checks by both Buyer and Seller, Gas Up Cool Down Agreement and Confirmation Notice.

Time line from initial enquiry by the Charterers, to “Dapeng Sun” departing Pengerang Terminal fully cold and ready for LNG cargo loading was fourteen days.

Being able to offer and deliver safe agile “turn-key” solutions for our customers match faithfully CLSICO priorities.

Similarly, our thanks and recognition must go to all the crew on board the DAPENG SUN for completing a successful first cool-down at LNG Regasification Terminal in Pengerang, Johor.
