Sea staff are deployed on CLSICO ships through various contractual mechanisms, including direct employment and secondment from third party employers, reflecting different national preferences and restrictions. Nevertheless, CLSICO treats all sea staff employed on our ships as if they were direct employees for the purposes of their development and performance management and seeks to maintain close relationships regardless of employer. To this end, CLSICO works closely with our manning agents, whether employers or non-employing crew managers.For Chinese staff, these companies are:

COSCO Dalian Manning Cooperation Co., Ltd.(“COSCO DMC”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of COSCO Dalian Ocean Shipping Company specialising in the manning of liquid bulk carriers. The company currently mans over 50 internationally trading vessels including 23 VLCC’s, 1 Suezmax, 3 Aframax, 10 Panamax, 3 Product Oil, 4 LPG tankers and the 6 CLSICO LNG Carriers, supplying over 3,900 experienced and trained seafarers. COSCO DMC has a seafarers training school in Dalian, providing STCW and company specific training.

At the end of 2015, there were 81 Officers and 148 Ratings and 14 Cadets from COSCO DMC in the CLSICO fleet.

Guangzhou Haishun Shipping Corporation

Guangzhou Haishun Shipping Corporation, more commonly known as Shekou Ming Wah (“SKMW”), is a subsidiary of HK Ming Wah Shipping Company within China Merchants Group. It provides over 1,300 experienced and trained seafarers for internationally trading vessels including 13 VLCC’s, 1 Suezmax and 7 Aframax tankers, as well as the 6 CLSICO LNG Carriers.

At the end of 2015, there were 14 Officers 1 Rating and 14 Cadets from SKMW in the CLSICO fleet.

Dalian International Maritime Service Co., Ltd.

Dalian International Maritime Service Co., Ltd. (“DIMSCO”) specialises in Chinese crew manning. DIMSCO has established close cooperative relationships with ship owners from Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Norway, etc. and has successfully dispatched full complement or part complement of crew to meet the specific requirements of various types of ships.

At the end of 2015, there were 2 Officers and 14 Ratings from DIMSCO in the CLSICO fleet.

Sinocrew Maritime Services Co., Ltd.

Sinocrew Maritime Services Co., Ltd. (“SINOCREW”) is established in 2002, with headquarters in Beijing and branch office in Shanghai. SINOCREW manages 3,600 qualified Chinese seafarers serving ship owners (e.g. APL, PCL, OSG, Rickmers, Columbia) around the world for bulk carriers, container vessels, chemical tanker, oil tanker, offshore, LPG, and LNG ships.

At the end of 2015, there was 1 Officer from SINOCREW in the CLSICO fleet.

Anglo-Eastern Group (“AE”) has been established in 1974 with a primary focus on the provision of Ship Management, Crew Management and New Building Consultancy services. AE maintains an industry leading standard of recruitment and training crew and has built up a pool of over 15,000 professional seafarers to support owners of Bulk Carriers, Container Ships, RoRos /Car Carriers, Tankers (Gas, Oil, Chemicals, including LNG Carriers), Special Purpose Vessels and Yachts sailing all over the world. The seafarers employed come from Asia (India, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar), Europe (Poland, UK, Croatia, The Netherlands, Latvia and Ukraine), Canada and New Zealand.

AE’s role for CLSICO is to provide crew management services for the non-Chinese staff directly employed by CLSICO, as well as providing a small number of AE employed seafarers for service on CLSICO ships – a total of about 50 seafarers in all.

Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilder

Hudong-Zhonghua is the builder of all of CLSICO’s ships to date. Recognizing the assistance that we can provide to one another from our respective experiences in LNG ship building and LNG ship management, CLSICO and Hudong aim to maintain a continuing liaison, for our mutual benefit.
