On 2nd February 2014, the Shen Hai passed 500 days free of any recordable personal injuries – a perfect record since her delivery in September 2012. To mark this achievement, Paul Oliver, CLSICO’s General Manager, visited the Shen Hai at Yang Shan on 15th February to thank everybody on board and to award Captain Rob Harding, on behalf of all staff who have served on Shen Hai since delivery, with a memento of the occasion. In addition to this safety performance, Paul also drew attention to Shen Hai’s excellent record of reliability which is a great credit to everybody involved with the Shen Hai, including shipbuilder Hudong Zhonghua, the CLNG site team under Zhu Zheren, the head office superintendents Fu Qiang and Li Hongwei and, of course, all the ship’s staff.
