DAPENG STAR: 2000 days free of Lost Time Incidents

On 2nd June 2015, the Dapeng Star passed 2000 days free of any Lost Time Incidents (LTIs). To mark this achievement, Paul Oliver, CLSICO’s General Manager, visited the Dapeng Star at Hong Kong South Lamma Dangerous Goods Anchorage on 5th June to thank everybody on board and to award Captain Gary Watson, on behalf of all staff who have served on Dapeng Star, with a memento of the occasion. Paul observed that Dapeng Star had not had a single LTI since delivery from Hudong Zhonghua shipyard and had had no injuries of any kind for over two years. In accepting the memento of a “Ruyi 如意” , Captain Watson noted that this was regarded as a good luck symbol but that constant vigilance and not luck is the key to safety!
