Newbuilding “Al Tuwar” comes under CLSICO’s management

On 16 May, 2025, the LNG carrier “Al Tuwar”, the first vessel jointly invested in by CLNG was delivered to her charterers QatarEnergy LNG Marketing.

Al Tuwar was built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co Ltd and has a LOA of 299 metres, a beam of 46.4 metres, a depth of 26.25 metres, and a total cargo carrying capacity of 174,000 cubic metres.

The ship boasts a twin propellor/twin rudder design as well as other systems for improving hydrodynamics and reducing carbon emissions, which can help reduce methane slip in gas mode as well as greenhouse gas emissions.

Al Tuwar successfully completed her gas up, cool down and first loading at Ras Laffan in Qatar, sailing on 05 June, bound for discharge in China.

The “Al Tuwar” becomes the eighth vessel managed and operated by CLSICO, with her sister ships, the Al Mas’habiyyah and the Fat’h Kahir joining her under our management in July and August 2025 respectively.
