On 26th September 2022, CLNG and Shenzhen Gas held the signing ceremony of Cooperation Agreement on LNG Shipping Project in Shenzhen. Mr. Xie Chunlin, Chairman of China Merchants Energy Shipping and Chairman of CLNG, Mr. Zhu Maijin, General Manager of COSCO Shipping Energy Transportation Co., Ltd., and Vice Chairman of CLNG, Mr. Li Zhen, Chairman of Shenzhen Gas, and Mr. Zhang Xiaodong, President of Shenzhen Gas, attended the signing ceremony.
Xie Chunlin said that as the state-owned LNG energy and transportation enterprises in Shenzhen, the cooperation between Shenzhen Gas and CLNG is the best partner of the upstream and downstream of the LNG industry chain for win-win cooperation and strong alliance, which is in line with the national strategic measures to ensure energy security and stable supply. He expressed the hope that the two sides will further leverage their resource advantages and core capabilities in their respective fields, upgrade the level of cooperation, expand the scale of cooperation, and deepen win-win cooperation.
Li Zhen said that CLNG has rich experience in LNG shipping management and operating, and the selection of CLNG as a partner will greatly improve the level of LNG ship management and operation. He hoped that the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation, seize the strategic opportunities of the “Double Zone” construction, and jointly explore a new mode of energy operation to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
CLNG General Manager Mr. Cong Jian and Shenzhen GAS Vice President Guo Jiajing signed the Cooperation Agreement on LNG Shipping Project on behalf of both parties. Xu Hui, Vice General Manager of China Merchants Energy Shipping and Director of CLNG, Yang Guang, Vice President of Shenzhen Gas, Qiu Lihua, Chief Economist, and Captain Shu Binglin, Deputy General Manager of CLNG and Chairman of CLSICO, attended the ceremony.
