Sunday 21st April, CLSICO technical manager Mr. Zhao Hongxing and superintendent Mr. Woo Konglim visited vessel Dapeng Sun and express CLSICO’s gratitude to C/E Chris and his wife Debra (who had just arrived onboard for his final voyage down to Australia) at the time of Chris’ retirement from active sea service.
In a seagoing career spanning 44 years Chris has spent most of the last 26 years working on LNG tankers as either 2/E or C/E. In 2008, Chris joined CLSICO in Hudong Shipyard as part of the first batch of site team members to prepare for the Dapeng Sun’s delivery. Since then he has worked on both Dapeng Moon and Dapeng Sun for almost 12 years. During this time, C/E Chris has always worked very hard and diligently and set a good example for all ER staff.
“Debra, on behalf of CLSICO and by myself, I would also like to express our thanks to you. I fully understand how important a seafarer’s wife’s support is whilst he’s away from home.” Mr. Zhao said.
Thanks again, Chris and Debra for your full support and your contributions to CLSICO, and whether Chris spends his retirement, fishing, digging holes in the garden or doing something else, we all wish Chris and Debra the health to enjoy and long and happy retirement.
