On 30th October 2018, CLSICO Chinese Ship Officer Annual Meeting was successfully held in Dalian, the meeting was attended by more than 40 ship officers and family members.
CLSICO’s GM Capt. Shu made the opening speech and appreciated to all the ship staffs for the hard working as well as the strong support from their families. Capt. Shu said: CLSICO fleet completed the goals set at the beginning of this year. The safety management, ship technical status and ship staff skills were improved. In 2019, the main task of CLSICO is to improve the management quality further based on the principle of safety first.
At the meeting, fleet manager Andrew Johnston talked about how to further improve the reliability of the ship’s critical equipment. Manning manager John Wood shared a topic about communication skills and the importance. By video and case sharing, HSSE / QA manager Nikos Kefalas elaborated about safety and asked everyone to keep safety awareness during daily work. During the meeting, all ship officers also actively participated in the discussion and sharing with each other. Everyone promised that they will take the development of the company as their own responsibility and gave many excellent suggestions for the development of company in the future.
The most special thing this year was the Annual Meeting coincided with the Western traditional holiday Halloween. CLSICO also prepared a Halloween Party and lucky draw for everyone. All were very happy and enjoyed the party like a big family. Of course, the annual meeting also ended in everyone’s laughter.
